Shall we sing a song now ?
Teacher displays the song on a chart.
Teacher sings the song two or three times.
Children can follow the teacher.
After Familiarizing the poem, teacher gives necessary instructions for the presentation of poem in the
form of conversation.
Teacher sings the first two lines with action.
“White, white kittens
What do you do ?”
Let the children wearing the mask of white kittens come forward and sing the next two lines with proper
action.
“Sweet sweet mother
We are climbing trees”
Thus the teacher can present all the lines of the song. Children can follow the teacher

Mother cat : White white kittens
What do you do ?
White kittens : Sweet sweet mother
We are climbing trees
Mother cat : Black black kittens
What do you do ?
Black kittens : Sweet sweet mother
We are drinking milk
Mother cat : Brown brown kittens
What do you do ?
Brown kitten : Sweet sweet mother
We are playing ball
Mother cat : White white kittens
What do you do ?
White Kitten : Sweet sweet mother
We are eating fish
Mother cat : Black black kittens
What do you do ?
